At It Again

Last week I had a surge to write again. After having a lightning bolt idea hit me, I needed to reshape my story. I was on fire too! It felt good. Then to add a wind of momentum a Christian writer's group I attend on Zoom every month had a guest speaker on Thursday...Cindy Jo Holbrook. She's published 16 books. Wow :-0

She is a local, published author and her presentation was amazing. It was as if we attended a writer's conference for free. That really set me ablaze. Meeting with other writers is extremely inspiring anyway, but add a seasoned writer to the mix and that combination will make your skin tingle with excitement.

What a rush! We didn't even necessarily discuss how to write mechanically but how to write as Christians. And how to overcome the emotional turmoil a writer endures while creating. Those niggling thoughts that maybe I'm not good enough or there are so many writers what do I have to offer? I highly recommend writers plugging into solid groups like my Zoom group. Or, attending conferences. The input and support is wonderful. Hanging with your tribe :-)
