Building Your Snowman
When I was a kid growing up in Indiana I hated the cold! But, if you distracted me with sledding or building a snowman (probably cause I had the fashion bug) I could make it. Snowmen don't take much effort, I mean we generally used the same model...base, belly, head. Then you just dress him with a nice scarf, nose, eyes, hat, and whatever.
It's intentional. And it's fun. Planning out your life is kind of the same way. You set out to do something and you do it. For instance, my son bought me a picture because he thought I'd like it. Turns out it was of Cinque Terre in Italy which I placed on my Bucket List back in my 20's but forgot.
I was building a bucket list (BL) before the movie came out! I remembered it this week as my son and I laughed at my cat Phoebe. She sat in her pink bed, which my son called her rowboat, and stared into the picture as though longing to jump into it. It made me remember how I even knew about the five coastal villages set amongst the Italian hills on the coast.
As I thought about it, more of my bucket list surfaced and I thought..I'm not through traveling yet! I still have places to see and go. Christian Counselor Dr. Randy Carlson, says we should live life on purpose. Make it count. I agree and today is the beginning. As I build my snowman (so to speak), I will start to construct my favorite stage of the process, the "how".
Today, I'm following through on another BL item, original verse for greeting cards. There will be pictures tomorrow, but today...we sell! My friend of Jubeelation Creations and I will be selling her original quilling items and her cards with my original verse inside. Can't wait! Follow up tomorrow. While you're waiting start building your own snowman!
