Cave Writings

This weekend was amazing! I stayed in a lodge in Mammoth Cave National Park. I took the Historic Tour which was a 2-mile, 2-hour hike through an amazing cave. Did you know that Mammoth Cave is the longest cave in the world? Wow.

I was blown away by the history like its use during the War of 1812. As I listened to countless true events that took place in the cave, my writing brain was processing ideas. Funny how nature can bring that out of you. In fact, one of the other visitors talked openly about, "What if there was an earthquake right now while we're in here?"

Once outside, the same person mentioned another story idea about hiking in the woods and encountering Sasquatch. Nature nurtures the imagination! Use yours and see where it takes you, at the very least, it will take you to a place where you get to predict the outcome.
