Blues to Better Days
This year is starting out less than satisfactory. Bad news from every side regarding family members, prolonged sickness on the home front, and snowed in for days. If I had any resolutions - which I most definitely did not - they'd been tossed out the window.
If I had a vice, I'd be all up in that right now too. But, I don't. It's confusing seeing sunshine outside but snow still piled up and blocking the comings and goings of life. The only positive I can see was a free vacation to recover and writing time. At least there is a silver lining.
This kind of beginning to the new year challenges me to focus on better days ahead. Initially, I planned to showcase other writers this year. To use my blog to promote and aid beginning writers. The first publish is the best publish and a blog is a vehicle to get it done.
I also plan to post some stories about people in my circle who have overcome great odds. I foresee a Valentine contest, a limerick contest for St. Patty's Day, and who knows what else. I will need your help though. If you believe in paying it forward then I'll need you to use your power to persuade. Share, share, share the blog so we can build a bigger audience and hopefully link writers to publishers.
If done right, this could be the year the magic happens and dreams come true.
