Peek Out Your Window...Something's Waiting

I woke up from a nap with an epiphany. Life is out there calling. I used to be so involved and even led groups. I helped folks older than me to understand having a relationship wasn't the be all, end all in life. It was easy to say to them because I still had a child at home.

Most of these folks were empty nesting and lonely. Now I get it. Here I am, facing the life they had. Today it really hit that I need to take the advice I gave them. Have fun! Pursue dreams, build friendships, and make life matter.

I realized I already knew all of these things and helped others be brave, yet here I am watching my life pass by just because I'm in a new town. It's time to get busy and enjoy life. Find places to hang out, make friends, and simply LIVE.

There are probably experiences waiting right outside my door and I'm not taking the step to embrace them. Time to pull up the blinds, open up the door, and let life in. I've only got one. I need to live it well.
