Poetry Reading-Nichole Simmons

In the spotlight today...presenting Nichole Simmons! If you read the blog regularly, she's not new to us. In fact, she allowed us a glimpse into her soul through a poignant poem at the end of last year in her debut reading.

I think you'll like the vibe of Nichole's latest. I like how she tells her story, but you can almost hear a rhythm in her Free Verse style. She intertwines real life experiences with her artistic expression to create relatable verse. I look forward to whatever she brings us next time :-)

Where's the place I want to go?

Will it be far or will it be close?

To what? You must ask

Whatever I want

It's finally time to do ME

Of course it all starts with

my job

In hopes of HR

I do enjoy helping others

No matter if my own world is

torn apart

Then where will I lay my

head?

Cheapest place of course

RV adventure would be

grand

Me and Elwood trying to

stay grounded

Out and about in nature

Enjoying the quiet carefree

world.
