Protect You

Someone very close to me took a couple of emotional hits the last two days. Thankfully, I'm in a place emotionally where I could help talk them through it. People in their circle were criticizing and literally breaking down any hope this person had for their future.

As I pulled out my pom poms and urged this person to keep going and ignore the noise, I said something pretty brilliant. I said, " - - - - - , sometimes the only thing that stands between me and insanity is who I say that I am."

It's so important to brand yourself...to yourself! We are the hardest to convince of your own value and worth. This life is tough and there are times when it will seem the whole world is against you. Or, are making you feel like you're not enough.

That's the day you have to pull out your own pom poms and cheer yourself on to the finish line. You tell yourself who you are and why you're worth it. And anyone who says otherwise can take a hike. They're probably speaking out of their own self loathing. Don't let them project on you. Protect you.

You are worth it. You matter. This world would not be the same without you in it. So, pull it together and go make your mark. Let them know you were here and don't let anyone get between you and your dreams.
