Love Captured
What a magnificent picture I witnessed on a trip to Italy. The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, Rome. I don't know why but the image popped into my mind today. Obviously, it's about the creation of man, but the image really reflects the love God has for His creation. That He would go to any lengths to bring man back to Himself.
Reconciliation is such a powerful force. Something that doesn't happen everyday. People are scared, proud, stubborn, and don't want to be vulnerable. To avoid being weak they'll live without someone they love, or need. Yet the mightiest being alive, Jehovah, was weak. He loved man so much he sent his child to die and bring man to Himself. I want to be like Him. Some might say, it's a calling.
I was flooded with this as I studied the picture again today:
The touch that said it all...
the love
the desire
the Father
the Son
And it happened again...
the love
the desire
the Father
the Son
He sent to reconcile us.
2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:...
