Thankful for Time

With the obvious holiday glaring from two days from now, I figured I could go traditional today. You know, talk about what I'm thankful for. So many things come to mind, but the one that stands out is.....drum roll please....oh yeah...it was in the title...TIME!

Not everyone is granted with time. I've had loved ones die near my age and that really brings it home. Time is a gift and I'm thankful for more of it. In 2020, I faced a health scare that really brought me to my knees. It opened my eyes to how fragile life is. Like precious glass, it can drop at any moment and shatter.

Hopefully, I've learned my lesson. Another day may be another dollar, but I like to see it differently. Every day is a chance to have a different life. To chase a dream, to leave my mark, to fully form into the best version of me.

May I never live for the outcome. May I never live for fame. May I never live for more stuff. I just want to live well. Reading my own heart leakings makes me realize I need to do some recalibrating. I need to adjust my life to mean what I write. I'm going to start with today. It's not just another work day, it's a blessed day because I was allowed entry into it and I'm healthly to enjoy it. I'm going to make the most of it!
