What is Happy?

I've pondered this question over and over. What is happy? I used to think there was some unknown eutopia waiting for me that I would find one day. And then I would be happy. Either through love, fame, or some other temporary situation. Around 40, I realized happy is something you can make happen.

So here I am making happy happen. Today is one of those days for me. I haven't slept for 3 nights, since my visit to Indiana. I don't even know why. Maybe just homesick. Being around family and childhood friends can do that to you.

I've got puffy eyes and a headache, but I'm determined to knock it out of the park today! I am willing myself to be happy and to make others smile. Part of my ministry in life is to make others feel like they matter, no matter how overlooked they are.

I hope you can find the same inner strength. You deserve happiness too. Watch a funny video, or kitten memes, whatever it takes tap into that happy place and let the good stuff drain out. It's gonna be a good day. Because we will it to be :-)
